What can I change myself?
All of your content: headlines, paragraphs, photos, buttons and links, lists like menus and team members, opening hours, contact details, your navigation and footer, and blog posts. On pages that aren't locked you can also add, remove and reorder sections.
Can I add new pages?
Yes, if your role allows it. New pages start from the section types your site already has, so they always match your design.
Can several people edit at once?
Yes. Everyone has their own login, and Review & publish shows who changed what before anything goes live.
What if someone publishes a mistake?
Restore a save point to put the site's content back the way it was, then publish again. Every change is also kept in version history.
Can I change the design myself?
You can switch between your site's themes and section styles. Anything beyond that — a new section type or a custom layout — is something we build for you.
Where your site lives
Where is my website hosted?
On Amazon Web Services. Your pages are stored in Amazon S3 and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront network, close to wherever your visitors are.
How do I know my site is fast and secure?
We test it and show you. We run your pages through Google PageSpeed Insights, the Mozilla Observatory and an SSL test, fix what they flag, and send you the results as proof. Automatic re-checks are coming soon; until then our team runs them for you.
Do I get HTTPS?
Yes, on every environment. Certificates are issued and renewed automatically.
Is my site secure?
Your public website is static files: there's no login page, database or plugin on it for attackers to target. The HUGways editor is separate and protected by individual logins and role-based permissions.
Will my site work on phones?
Yes. Every site is designed mobile-first, and can even be installed to a phone's home screen like an app.
Plans and payments
What's the difference between Starter and Business?
Starter suits a small site on a professionally designed theme. Business adds a custom design, more pages, a blog, more logins and storage, and priority support. Compare plans.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes — pay yearly and get two months free.
Do theme changes cost extra?
No. Switching themes and section styles is always free.
We have several websites. Can they share one account?
Yes. Each additional site gets 15% off its setup fee and 20% off its monthly plan, and your team can work across all of them.
